lines that make me happy

Mood: Neglect
Listening to: bob marley
Playing: /parfum: bois de violette by serge lutens
Eating: chocolate:D 1st time in half a year, wow
Drinking: camomile tea

i've been eating chocolate now, swiss with raisins and nuts,
mmmm, i love these huge nuts...
i could buy them and eat separately,
but it's so much fun to take them out of a chocolate bar! don't you agree?

i'd love to share them with you, but i can't.
so i'll share something as wonderful instead:
some of my favourite traditional art here on da.

i love lines. perfect geometric compositions make me happy.
a few things can be compared to minimalistic monochrome lines,
maybe only those huge nuts from chocolate...
they both do something to my brain and i feel happy

mmmm, so wonderful they are!

I love this stuff. When I was at college (many, many moons ago) we had a teacher called David Dabner who introduced me to the Bauhaus, the Constructivists, De Stijl and a wealth of other schools of art/design. It was the first time I learned to appreciate art beyond the figurative. I am forever indebted to that man. Not enough people appreciate the difficulty of producing successful geometric art, expressing space and volume using simple shapes and limited tonal palettes. I haven't tried it myself for a couple of decades. Some of these are great finds.

Do u play music or get inspired by music...?
lines = musical compositions ....
follow the flow of lines........
chaotic to melodic....

i play flute.
and sing

i love geometry, i used to participate in technical drawing competitions when i was at school

and i won many of them!

i used to strongly dislike cubism and bauhaus before. i couldn't get it.
but some months ago i was in madrid and saw picasso's "figure" from 1931...wow!!!! this is one of my all time fave paintings now. i was sitting there in the museum in front of that picture for an hour, admiring it, until the guide told me to go away.
silly people, they say it's not allowed to sit on the floor in the museums....why in the world they build them then??

anyway, i love cubism now.

i envy you that you studied it and MADE it yourself.
